Sliding glass and patio doors

Sliding glass and patio doors are the most common place for a dog door in Dubai villas and apartments, because a sliding insert avoids altering the door itself. Our sliding door pet door insert sits in the track of your sliding door, so the glass is not cut, the frame is not drilled, and the insert can come out again when you move. If your sliding door is double glazed, a new factory-tempered panel is the alternative, made with the dog door opening already in it. Either way, your dog gets in and out without you opening the patio door, and the heat stays outside.

Three things Dubai dog owners should know first

Your existing tempered glass cannot be cut. Tempered glass shatters if it is cut after it has been made. We do not cut your existing panel. Instead, we make a new factory-tempered panel with the dog door opening already in it, and fit that panel in place of your existing one.

Your original glass is stored for swap-back. We keep your original glass safe, so the panel can be swapped back when you move out or if you ever want the door returned to how it was. That is what makes the job rental-friendly in practice, not just in name.

Same-day fitting is possible in Dubai. For a standard white insert, book before 10 AM and we aim to fit the same day. Book after 10 AM and the fitting is normally the next day. We will confirm your slot when you send your photo and measurements.

How it works

1. Send a photo, your dog’s breed and a few measurements. WhatsApp a photo of the door or sliding track, your dog’s breed and weight, and the width and height you have in mind. Tell us whether it is glass, a sliding door or a wall, and whether you rent or own.

2. We size the door by breed. We confirm the door size for your dog — medium, large or extra-large — and whether a microchip or manual door suits you, and we confirm the panel type: a new factory-tempered glass panel, a sliding insert, or a wall fitting.

3. Your panel is made. The new panel is made with the opening already in it. Nothing is cut on site into tempered glass, and there is no drilling into your existing panel.

4. We fit it, seal it and show you how it works. On the visit we fit the panel or insert, seal it against heat and dust, store your original glass, and show you how the door and lock work before we leave.

Measure your dog’s shoulder height and width, and tell us the breed — we fit medium, large and extra-large doors, and we will size up if your dog is still growing or is close to a boundary. Some people search for a dog gate when they actually want a dog door their dog can use on its own; if that is what you mean, the sizing here is the same, and a fitted door is the option that lets your dog come and go without you opening a gate. A door that is too small will put your dog off using it, and a door that is too large lets in more heat than it needs to, so getting the size right at the photo stage saves a second visit.
