Fitting a microchip flap in glass is specialist work: the unit needs a circular CNC-cut opening in a factory-made tempered unit and a metal/aluminium glass mounting adapter to seal correctly and distribute stress. We fabricate and fit the complete system — your original glass is stored uncut for move-out swap-back.

Cats over 4 kg — British Shorthairs, Maine Coons, Ragdolls — need a Large microchip pet door, not a standard cat flap. We size honestly before we order. Glass mounting adapters. Metal/aluminium adapter rings create the correct circular seal in glass and protect the tempered unit — never a flap forced into a square hole.
My cat already has a vet microchip. Will it work?
Yes. SureFlap and PetSafe microchip flaps read the standard microchips implanted by UAE vets. We program your cat's chip into the flap during fitting, and for cats there is no collar or tag to wear or lose.
Will it really keep stray cats out?
Yes — that is the entire point of selective entry. The flap stays locked and only unlocks when it reads a registered chip. Strays and neighbours' cats cannot push through, which ends the food-stealing and indoor spraying problem common in villa communities.
My cat is over 4 kg. Is there a microchip flap big enough?
Yes, but it must be a Large microchip pet door model, not a standard cat flap. Breeds like British Shorthairs, Maine Coons and Ragdolls need the larger opening; we confirm the right model from your cat's breed and weight before fitting.
Can a microchip flap be fitted in my glass door?
Yes, using the replacement-unit method: a new tempered double-glazed unit is fabricated with a circular CNC-cut opening, the flap is sealed in with a glass mounting adapter, and your original glass is stored uncut and swapped back in about 30 minutes when you move out — no landlord NOC needed.
What if my cat isn't microchipped?
Talk to us before booking. Microchip models are designed around implanted chips for cats; if your cat is not chipped, a vet visit for chipping is the cleanest route, or we can recommend a manual 4-way locking flap from Closer Pets or PetSafe as an alternative.
Can you match my reflective glass when the flap goes in a glass panel?
We offer the closest matching reflective options available, but an exact shade cannot be guaranteed because original glass suppliers and coating batches differ between developments. We show you the closest match before fabrication.
